BRIEFING EXCERPT:

Situation:
A small infantry force has been inserted by vehicle to ambush a Taliban supply convoy. Convoys such as this one are very rare for the Taliban and provide a huge boost in resources and capabilities. One Bushmaster PWS vehicle has been allocated to assist with fire support and target identification.
Intel:
This particular resupply convoy is particularly well armed considering it's size. There are an estimated 5x technicals (with varying degrees of armament) and 1x ZU23-mounted flatbed to protect the vehicles against air strikes.
Our main advantage (and reason for such a small force) at this point is that they are not expecting us out this far from our FOB, and as such will not have these vehicles manned - use this to your advantage and knock out either the vehicles or the infantry who will man them immediately. Doing so will give you greater freedom of movement when cleaning up the infantry in the area.
These supplies are of vital importance to the insurgency (fuel for generators + ammunition for small arms and IED manufacturing). At the first sign of trouble the supply vehicles will make a dash for the escape route marked on the mark to the west. Prevent them from reaching this location at all costs - if EITHER of the vehicles makes it, it will classify as a mission failure.

MISSION: [AAW CO35]BA-A2 Operation Gifthorse v1.0
ISLAND: Takistan
TYPE: COOP
PLAYERS: 1-35
REVIVE: Yes - All Players
STYLE OF PLAY: Assault, Convoy Escort, HVT Capture
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Optional parameters at slot selection allow you to run the mission with ACRE, ACE or both. Selecting different options will add extra items (radios, earplugs etc) to the default ArmA 2 ammo box at insertion.

Situation:
ADF Mentoring and Reconstruction Taskforce 5 has had a rocky start to it's tour in the northern Takistan mountain range. The group has been plagued by heavy IED strikes and little to no reaction from the local population to construction projects and acts of good will.
Today provides a huge opportunity for the ADF presence in the area. A local elder has requested some cattle (and required feed) be moved by the ADF from a village near FOB Hendricks to the local cattle dealer near Camp Pinder. In return, he has offered information on the location of the local IED manufacturer and also the mortar crew that has been attacking the airfield.
Objectives:
Deliver Cattle and Feed - If either of the trucks are destroyed or the cattle dies, you fail the entire mission. This objective is mission critical.
Reorg at Pinder - Meet at Camp Pinder and re-arm, repair and refuel vehicles. Take the chance to re-arm squad weapons.
Capture IED Maker - Capture the IED maker alive and return him to Camp Pinder
Destroy IED Material - Destroy the IED making materials found near the manufacturer
Destroy Baseplate - Destroy the mortar baseplate that has been putting IDF onto Camp Pinder
Secure Zones - Secure both target zones. Zones will be marked once the local elder is satisfied with the delivery.
Notes:
Your ECM Bushmasters are your only defence against the IED threat. Use them wisely and travel at a steady pace to ensure the devices have enough time to scan for suspect objects.
Mission allows for anyone to revive, number of revives is set at mission startup.

Known Issues: IED Detection script attached to the ECM's is not perfect - it can come and go and sometimes misses IED's altogether so don't rely on it 100%. I'm also aware that the script does not perform as an ECM device would, it's a placeholder until something better comes along
