Hi guys,

Just wondering how long it's been since you've played this. I fired it up recently with the FFUR mod and noticed two things:

1) It's still extremely fun
2) Arma 2 would be so much better without the bugs :)

I find the voice acting to be better as well, not as much pitch and volume variation as Arma & Arma 2. TBH I would be happier if they just used the old voice acting files instead of these new ones (especially with the black team razor guy - who sounds very white).

we fired it up for some coop missions a few weeks ago at a small lan, good fun it is :) and before that, sometime last year i played it and got through most of the campaign. before that would of been roughly when the game was released back in the day ;)

I'd love to join in for a game, but I've got no idea where my old OFP discs went - the house has moved around a lot in the last 4/5 years so who knows where they've gotten to :)

OFP is as dead as Windows 95. Sure some people still have it on their computer's but any self-respecting person will avoid any contact with such people. B)

Too many forums can be a bad thing. An empty/dead forum is also bad.

I play A1 more than A2 atm, since A2 isnt modable (easily) A1 still holds its own atm (being someone that loves to mod, I've even made some GDI stuff B) )

I never made the jump to ARMA I, always prefered OFP and still play coop with some buddies around the way.

I was not dissapointed with ARMAII, and was the spur of my PC upgrade :D

Will be no different when OA comes out, Arma 2 will die a slower death.

Hmmm, perhaps.

I'm still expecting this (OA) to be the next OFP Resistance.

ArmA2 will die quickly. Everyone will upgrade to OA. Well that's what I think, and hope. The two won't be compatible, OA will be cheap and probably playable out of the box (unlike bug riddled ArmA 2 initial release). Hopefully that will mean a large influx of players. That might actually make some of the old timers want to stick with ArmA 2, and avoid the horde of newbies, but I doubt it. Didn't really happen with ArmA, even before ACE2.

Anyway, I hope you're wrong, and AO gets everyone excited about ArmA again, including developers and mission makers, and we rejoice in a new OFP-like era :?

P.S: This forum is as useful as a Windows 95 support forum.

I purchased the GOG version before it was taken offline,
fired it up recently and really enjoyed it!!

the story was like no other and really deserve an award lol
suggest all ArmA II player to try it out

also i really suggest to use the ecp-redux mod
http://ecp-redux.limewebs.com/
it makes the game look 100x better, find it to be better than FFUR too
since this replace absolutely everything with high quality texture and models ingame

u won't be discouraged by the graphics anymore
hell even my HD 6850 have trouble running this on max!!
http://www.youtube.c...r/WhiteGoldtube
here's some good videos about this mod, take a look:-P

yep we found the torrent for it - thanks :lolno:

PROPER lives on now as PvPscene Tweaks .. certain people felt offended by the name (which wasn't intended).

think u need to use the resistance exe to run this
also for ingame option, u should move ur frame per second
option all the way to the left to prevent visual detail drop-down
