Hey I've just bought a new PC and its coming in a couple of days and i thought that maybe i should get ARMA2. I'm in love with these sims which kinda got me over COD and BF and what better way is there to share the experience with fellow Aussies, hopefully you guys can let me in a jet and we can see what goes on from there

Welcome to the community Audioscars. I'm sure you'll find something to your tastes with the games being run here. Grab a copy of Teamspeak 3 and jump on the AusArmA Server (the details are on the front page of this site).
I strongly recommend you get your copy of ARMA 2 Combined Operations from Sprocket and not steam. It'll save you (and us) a whole bunch of headaches getting you modded up and good to go on the servers we are using currently. We have a local mirror for the files somewhere, I just can't put my finger on it right now (if anyone else knows, post it up). While you are there, probably best to grab the BAF DLC, otherwise your British units will look rather.. runny. Of course you could just get The ARMA X edition (25gig though), which has every ArmA game ever made in it. A physical copy from a shop will also be fine, just remember whatever you get will need ARMA 2 AND ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead.
Good Hunting.

Because if I wasn't here, who would randomly kick Gu^n3r from TS? Nobody, that's who.

Alright thanks guys, i'll probably go with ARMA X from sprocket seeing as it has everything in it already the only problem is i need to pay for it so it might take alittle while (not too long) for me to come up with 53 bucks. however its great value and i'll definatley get it, ARMA2 alone is $48 at eb games.
I'll be on when i get it, see you there
